When you’re glamping, you don’t have to use a camp stove! This kitchen has all the pots, pans, and cooking utensils you need. Crockpot, Keurig, and blender are all available for your use as well as the usual kitchen appliances, including microwave and dishwasher. There is a large pantry so you can do your shopping on the way in and not have to head into town for a week. 

Ditch the splintery picnic table and relax on our comfy sofas while soaking up the AC in the midday south Texas heat. The open space living room/dining room with WiFi, Firestick, and HDMI enabled flatscreen TV allows you to keep the group together, whether you are watching a movie, playing an epic board game, or cooking a large meal together.

This is where the stars come to shine. After grilling up dinner on the gas grill and roasting marshmallows around the fire pit, take the telescope to the patio and watch the stars. See if you can name the constellations, or just convince someone that “the Fluffy Bunny is totally a constellation”. 

This is the quiet time. The time you get to have for yourself. Get your coffee, sneak out the front door, and enjoy the sounds of the world waking up in the dawn from the chairs on the spacious porch. 

Horseshoes and Cornhole are the best way to spend an afternoon.  Week-long family tournaments are encouraged.  You will see many different species of birds, lizards, and of course a rabbit or two from the patio.

The house is secluded but we ask that you stay in the yard in order to respect our neighbors and their property.

South Texas is incredibly rich in wildlife and we love to share it with our guests. We are located about an hour from Chapparal WMA and Daughtery WMA in the other direction. Choke Canyon Reservoir is also well-stocked for anglers. Check out our activities page for more info! 

Let us know if you are in the mood for a local, authentic Mexican food feast served right in the lodge. We do have to plan ahead but we are happy to share our contact with you after you book. Carne guisada or enchiladas after a day out in the brush or on the water is going to be amazing!
